Greenyard Fresh UK are committed to procuring fruit from growing regimes that share our common principles of Ethical Trade. We are opposed to all forms of Forced or Bonded Labour and Modern Slavery. We have developed our Ethical Trade Strategy to drive continual improvement, assess compliance against our standards and build closer working relationships with our suppliers.

We shall, at all times, support growing practices that require the minimum application of chemical fertilisers and plant nutrients to achieve the quality of fruit required by our marketplace.                                                                     Whenever we are required to control plant pests, this is only carried out to pre-set measured parameters by fully qualified and trained personnel. Natural products or methods of pest control are always specified as the preferred option.

Our goal is to minimise any negative impact on the environment as a result of crop production. Packing materials are sourced from sustainable programmes or manufactured using the maximum possible amount of recycled materials. It is our goal, through the examination and improvement of our practices, to reach a point where elements of our business can be seen to provide a positive contribution to the environment.

Wherever possible, Greenyard Fresh UK Ltd utilise alternative and sustainable energy sources. We are also actively working to minimise our “carbon footprint”.
