Greenyard Fresh UK procure fruit from caring growers actively promoting the wellbeing and betterment of the workforce
We fully co-operate with and extend beyond, where possible, all government worker welfare legislation
We do not support regimes where labour is bonded, forced or exploited
We are committed to procuring fruit from growing regimes that share our common principles of Ethical Trade.
We are opposed to all forms of Forced or Bonded Labour and Modern Slavery. We have developed our Ethical Trade Strategy to drive continual improvement, assess compliance against our standards and build closer working relationships with our suppliers
We support growing practices that require minimal chemical fertilisers and plant nutrients
Whenever we are required to control plant pests, this is only carried out to pre-set measured parameters by fully qualified and trained personnel
Natural products or methods of pest control are always the preferred option
Our goal is to minimise any negative impact on the environment as a result of crop production
Packing materials are sourced from sustainable programmes or manufactured using recycled materials. It is our mission to continually improve our practices, and make a positive contribution to the environment
Wherever possible, we utilise alternative and sustainable energy sources
We are also actively working to minimise our “carbon footprint”
